제13회 택견최고수전

2012년 6월 30일에는 베르사유 궁전으로 유명한 베르사유 몽보롱 체육관에서 제13회 택견 최고수전이 개최된다.
사상 처음으로 해외에서 개최되는 대한체육회가 승인하는 공식 택견경기대회인 만큼 여러가지 의미가 있다.
특히, 유네스코 본부가 있는 파리에서 택견행사를 하게 되는 것은 택견이 유네스코에 인류뮤형유산으로 등재된 것과 연결하여 국제적으로 택견을 홍보할 수 있는 기회가 된다.
공식경기대회를 해외에서 개최하는 것은 사상 초유의 일로써 이는 1996년부터 해외공연을 해온 것을 바탕으로 지금부터는 본격적인 택견 세계화가 시작됨을 알리는 신호탄으로 보면 된다.

13th Choegosu-jeon Championship

The 13th edition of the « Choegosu-jeon » Taekkyon Championship will be held in Versailles, France.
It is the first time that a Taekkyon championship is held outside of Korea. This game will gather 8 of the best Taekkyon players and will be presented by Grandmaster LEE Yong-Bok (9. Dan, President of the Korea Taekkyon Federation and the World Taekkyon Headquarters). Additionally, Taekkyon seminars will be held by the Grandmaster the next day in Versailles and the day after in Paris.
Event date: Saturday June 30th, 2pm, Versailles (Montbauron gymnasium)
Free entrance.
Choegosu-jeon is pronounced as « tchway go sew John ».
